Sascia

Sandra Iurescia (Sascia) was born in 1963 in Rome, where she lives and works. She graduated in Biological Sciences in 1989 from the University “La Sapienza”, where she afterwards obtained her PhD in Biochemistry in 1994. She is a researcher by profession.
She has actually been attracted to drawing and painting since childhood, and she is passionate about the world of arts. In 1997 and 1998 she attended two short drawing courses held by the illustrator Pedro Scassa. Then, she attended drawing, watercolor and oil painting courses at the “bottega Bordi Belle Arti” from 2012 to 2020. In 2018 she was issued a certificate of attendance to the illustration course held by Daniela Volpari at School of Art “Arts in Rome”. By the 2020s she is finally attending the atelier of the artist Kristina Milakovic at the Gall’Art Gallery in Rome. She is now working with acrylics and mixed media, experiencing an instinctive and emotional painting by taking inspiration from nature.
