She graduated from The American University in Cairo with a B.A in Egyptology and minor in Islamic Art and architecture.<br />
She lived abroad for some time of her life 1990-2010 during which she has enriched her love for painting by exposing herself to all sort of taste and artistic moods till she finally landed on her own style and world. Finally settling in Cairo since 2011, she has been very influenced by art, like Sufism and its mystic world, the whirling dervishes with their dancing and movement have all been the key for her inspiration in a lot of her paintings. Facial portraits are her obsession in this particular period of her life, with all sort of expressions. All media paintings attracted her, from oil on canvas, to acrylic, to watercolors. Painting to her is a therapy where one indulges in the utopia world, away from all negativities, it’s a positive energy mood that one reaches when painting and once painting is completed.
