Joachim Peerenboom

Joachim Peerenboom is a Berlin based artist with a strong emphasis on abstract paintings and drawings. He creates most of his artworks intuitively and spontaneously, exploring materials, colors and tools in the process. The resulting forms and shapes are set in the undefined space where pure perception and the giving of meaning meet. This abstraction lets different viewers see different things, when the forms collapse into a meaningful image, created by the viewer's brain and mind. Most of the paintings and drawings, which come in many sizes and apply different colors and materials, are untitled so that the process of giving meaning by the observer is undisturbed.
